Clarkson College has not always been a college. Instead, we began in 1888 as a school of nursing—the first in the state of Nebraska. Over the last 125 years, we've established a new campus, expanded our program offerings and adopted a new name. All the while, we've maintained a commitment to preparing our students to be the best in various realms of health care. Jennifer Memolo, P.T.A., M.A.

Jennifer Memolo is a full-time member of the Clarkson College Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) and General Education programs. Her teaching assignments include PTA 110 Basic Skills and selected labs, as well as Graduate Writing courses.

Ms. Memolo was born in Birmingham, Ala. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in English from Birmingham-Southern College, her Master’s degree in Creative Writing from East Carolina University and her Associate’s degree in PTA from Nash Community College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She is Kinesio Tape-certified and Tai Chi for Better Balance-certified.

Prior to receiving her Associate's degree as a PTA, Ms. Memolo taught English Composition and Literature. Her clinical background includes inpatient rehabilitation, skilled nursing and home health care. She is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) site visitor since 2010.

Her future plans include working to develop courses for the Bachelor of Science in PTA program option at Clarkson College, as well as pursuing writing textbook material for the program. She also plans to take classes to earn her Doctor in Health Care Education & Leadership (Ed.D.).
